The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music visits OSH & WP to present a singalong to the blockbuster musical film “The Greatest Showman”. Hosted by Tahira Clayton and Tim Young, you’ll sing along to the film with live musical accompaniment by cast musicians from the movie.

Bring your blankets and snacks to join us on the lawn for a free night of musical entertainment featuring circus performers, movie trivia, and raffle prizes!

Tonight our friends will be hosting an outdoor screening of “The Edge of Each Other’s Battles: The Vision of Audre Lorde”, a film by Jennifer Abod.

This film documents Black lesbian poet and activist Audre Lorde’s (1934-92) social vision, using footage from the four-day conference: I am your sister: forging global connections across differences, held in Boston in 1990.

Join filmmaker Asha Boston on Zoom to view excerpts from her documentary series A Time Before Kale on October 14 at 7 pm.

A Time Before Kale explores the history of black neighborhoods and their struggle to attain economic self sufficiency, determine their cultural identity and preserve their sense of community in the midst of gentrification.

Asha is a participating artist in Brooklyn Utopias: 2020, a contemporary art exhibition on view online or in person by appointment at the Old Stone House until October 18.
