Green Harbor Ride is a bike ride organized by artist Anna Lise Jensen, as part of a multifaceted struggle to get a bike/pedestrian lane on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, using one of its 13 existing lanes, in order to create a greener NYC harbor. Join in by riding your bike to The Old Stone House on September 12!

Along the way, snap pics and tag them #GreenHarborRide, #BrooklynUtopias2020, #JaneJacobsLivesHere and #OldStoneHouse. Start off from wherever you prefer – in Southwest Brooklyn, we are meeting at 12PM in front of Stand Gallery, 414 78th St, Brooklyn, NY 11209.

Once you arrive, enjoy outdoor refreshments (safely distanced), and learn how you can help to create a greener NYC with information about future steps for this ride.

Join artist, educator, and tour guide Rich Garr for a walk around the neighborhood to explore the hidden art along the Gowanus Canal.

The walk will begin in Carroll Gardens at Brooklyn Habitat, 405 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231.

Sing, Dance, Act, and Compose an Original Song! Our friends at Together in Dance have created musical theater programming in NYC public schools for over 15 years. • Learn a Broadway song with choreography

  • Write an original song with the teaching artist

  • Participate in theater games that engage the body and mind

  • Connect to a new theatrical ensemble

  • Help create an audio recording of the ensemble’s original song

  • Have fun!

The Camp will meet from 1 pm to 3 pm from August 17-21 and August 24-28. $180 per week.
