Se Levanta is a showcase of illustrations, musical soundscapes, animations, and UV blacklight paintings set to recreations of Puerto Rico’s bioluminescent bay, El Yunque rainforest, and back-country, all of which were obliterated by hurricane María. Raquel Acevedo Klein joins forces with her family to present a song cycle that fuses music and visual art to give voice to Puerto Rican resiliency and irrepressible beauty.
