Join Park Slope Parents and local family performer Suzi Shelton for a series of free, fun-filled musical performances and amazing giant bubbles. The bubbles start at 10 am each Thursday and the music begins at 10:30 am, from September 16 – October 21.
Over these weeks, Suzi will feature a diverse array of guest musicians including trombone, upright bass and fiddle players at this outdoor concert series for families with young children.
This week, TJ Robinson returns to play trombone!
T. J. was born and raised in Charleston, SC and began playing the trombone at age 8. He is now an active freelance musician in New York City and has played with various groups such as the Artie Shaw Band, the Grammy-nominated Manhattan School of Music Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra, the acclaimed reggae group Burning Spear, the Revive Big Band, and tours around the world with the group Circular Time.
T. J. is also an active member of The Blue Wolf Experience where he plays trombone, percussion, and raps. They are currently touring around the world opening for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Follow him @timjayrob.
