Join artist, writer and college educator Suzy Kopf for this midday workshop on crafting artist statements. We’ll cover why having prepared written statements about your artistic practice is important and how you can tackle this dreaded task with confidence. We’ll review statements written by other creatives and discuss how to write for your ideal audience at any length.
Suzy will share her guidelines and tips for distilling the most essential elements of your work into concrete and strong writing. Attendees should come prepared with any statements they have previously written as Google Documents and we’ll spend the last portion of the workshop working together to improve your statements.
This workshop is free to attend, please register here to receive the Zoom login.
