In this concert we’re exploring two contrasting elements – Earth and Air.
This eclectic program recreates a visceral experience of what these elements feel like, and showcase how these four brilliant composers help us get transformed to a different environment through music.
Joseph Haydn’s elegant “Lark” String Quartet and Steven Snowden’s ethereal “Bird Catching from Above” for String Quartet will take us soaring into the heights, while Paul Wiancko’s “A Sanguine Clockwork” and Béla Bartók’s “Contrasts” both inspired by folk dances will bring us back to earth and make us feel grounded again.
