
The Battle of Brooklyn, fought in 1776 on land that is now a part of Green-Wood Cemetery, was the first battle of the American Revolution to occur after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Meet costumed interpreters, see fascinating demonstrations, listen to colonial music and participate in fun, hands-on activities. You won’t want to miss this exploration of America’s past! All ages are welcome.
This is an outdoor event, attendees must follow ALL instructions and guidance from Cemetery staff and ambassadors. Green-Wood reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who refuses to comply with these guidelines, which are based on CDC, state, and city mandates.
Free, suggested donation of $5 per person registered. Donations help support Green-Wood’s free and low cost programs throughout the year.
