Preserving Our Past for a Better Future
The Old Stone House is the conservancy organization for JJ Byrne Playground & Washington Park. This is a place where community is built and history is preserved. More than 2,000 people visit the park and the House each and every day.
Our staff is small, but our reach is large as we oversee the playground, sports areas, gardens, dog run, farmers market, museum, and ever expanding education programs and cultural events both indoors and out.
To keep up our work, we rely on contributions from our local community to purchase plants and pay our environmental educator; underwrite music and theater performances in the park; and pay for additional park staff. Your gifts are the most important part of our funding.
