Tastings @ OSH: Fall for Brandy

Swirl, smell and sip your way through an evening with Tonya Hopkins, tasting an array of brandies, and accompanying treats.

Brandy: an abused/overused term applied to a range of spirits but it’s true/proper meaning is grape-based spirit. The most noble and famous are Cognac and Armagnac from south western France. There are delicious brandies from all over the world (Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Mexico, Armenia, South Africa… America — where they’re also made from other fruits like peaches, apples, (American Applejack — great history here!)

There will also be a selection of seasonal Ciders curated by Good Wine!

American food & drinks scholar/writer/raconteur Tonya Hopkins is the great granddaughter of a Prohibition Era speakeasy “entrepreneur” and a mixology maven who’s worked in many aspects of the wine and spirits industry for nearly two decades.
