Brooklyn Irish American Parade Committee march from the Main Gate to memorialize Washington’s Irish Generals, Charles Higgins, and John Gallagher, historian and author of The Battle of Brooklyn.

Living History Programming with drills, weapon firing, games, and  historic personalities. Colonial music by Sampawams Creek.

Harbor Defense Museum/Battle of Brooklyn, August 27th 1776
Permanent exhibit highlights arms and uniforms representing the soldiers who fought
in the battle. Outside tours overlooking the Narrows where a contingent of British forces landed are available daily. Valid Photo ID is required to access the installation.
